Synopsis

The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is transversal in adult life activities; however, in Mexico, there is limited knowledge about the adoption profiles of ICT among older adults. This study examines the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and ICT use based on the 2023 National Survey on the Availability and Use of Information Technologies in Households (ENDUTIH). Descriptive statistics and logistic regression models reveal disparities associated with education and socioeconomic status, as well as a negative relationship with age. The findings show asymmetries in access to and use of technologies among older adults in Mexico, highlighting the need to deepen their study from a sociodemographic perspective.
