The importance of empathy in the evaluation
Synopsis
The present study analyzes the influence of empathy on school evaluation processes and its impact on the emotional states and learning of high school students. Measurement instruments were applied directly to students, and the results were processed using factorial statistical analysis. The findings indicate that empathy favors constructive feedback, enhances meaningful learning, and contributes to an inclusive school environment. Likewise, opportunity areas linked to the relationship between emotions, feedback, and learning styles were identified. The research confirms that integrating empathy into evaluation improves educational equity and the development of socio-emotional skills among young people. The results indicate that the sample variables are sufficiently correlated to perform the factorial analysis and demonstrate how empathy impacts the emotions and learning of young people. In the opportunity areas, the axes of feedback and emotions are related, where variables such as emotions, personal characteristics, and insecurity are associated with socio-emotional skills. Learning environments combine the axes of learning and emotions with the variables of personal well-being, pre-established objectives, and practical and useful examples. Empathy articulates learning and evaluation with the variables of flexibility and teamwork. The knowledge factor suggests that it is achieved through evaluation and learning styles, facilitating the acquisition of knowledge in a less theoretical manner.
